After two years with Orchard Village, it is bittersweet that we say goodbye to Dr. Christina Geiselhart, who served as Director of the Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC). Dr. Geiselhart was instrumental in the formation and development of our behavioral health program, helping to launch it in 2021. Currently, she is stepping back to pursue more teaching and research endeavors. “We are grateful to Dr. G for all she has done to start up our BHC and serve our clients. She is an amazing professional and will be missed,” Susan Kaufman, Orchard Village CEO. We thank Dr. Geiselhart for all the hard work and support she provided during her time here.
We would like to welcome Daifeny Arias as the new Director of the Behavioral Health Clinic. “We are so happy to welcome Daifeny and excited for her to continue to grow the Orchard Village BHC in mental health services and supports that are so important to many we serve,” Susan Kaufman, Orchard Village CEO. Arias is a licensed clinical social worker with a decade of experience. She graduated with her master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago. She is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Medication Assisted Addiction Treatment Professional (MAATP), Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II). She is passionate about supporting individuals experiencing challenges with substance use and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She also has extensive experience working in community mental health settings and providing bilingual services.
She started her journey in social work supporting children 0-3 in Early Intervention and then transitioned to investigating abuse allegations for individuals 18+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Adult Protective Services. Arias will be overseeing the move to the new BHC building and helping to develop programs. She is excited to return to her roots and work with the individuals we serve.
