Orchard Academy is a private, therapeutic day school that educates special education students ages 17 thru 21 with a wide range of abilities and challenges.
In addition to reinforcing the traditional academic high school curriculum, Orchard Academy teaches students how to apply their knowledge and develop the critical skills needed to transition into a successful and fulfilling life after high school.
The curriculum is enhanced with community-based experiences in all areas, including job placement (both supported and competitive), independent living, and the building of social skills that will optimize the experience of transitioning into adult life. A small student-to-teacher ratio allows staff to provide the best support possible to each student, based on his or her own goals. Students are also supported with therapeutic resources and behavioral health services that are second to none.
Orchard Academy is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education.
